Connecting Worship, Community, and Sustainability Through Thoughtful Design

This new facility in Coralville provides the Unitarian Universalist Society with a modern home that reflects its values of inclusivity, sustainability, and community. The design emphasizes accessibility with features like curb-less parking, flush transitions, and gender-neutral restrooms. A geothermal system, solar arrays, and natural landscaping make the building Net Positive, producing more energy than it consumes. Surrounded by trails, gardens, and playscapes, the facility creates a welcoming connection between worship, community, and the natural environment.
