Liberty High School Phase 3

Liberty High School Phase 3

Adapting to Enrollment Growth With a Flexible Learning Expansion

To accommodate rapid enrollment growth, Liberty High School underwent a 38,500 SF expansion that increased capacity from 1,000 to 1,500 students. Phase 3 added a two-story classroom wing with 21 new classrooms and a secure enclosed courtyard that supports outdoor learning. The design emphasized flexible spaces, collaboration, and safety while blending seamlessly with the original facility. This addition solidified Liberty as a modern, adaptable educational environment for the Iowa City community.
