Nate Hunnicutt is one of our Tower Crane Operators. He has worked for McComas-Lacina Construction for the past 5 years. Nate came to us with 10 years experience in the construction industry. Kenny Kuepker is one of our Lead Concrete Finishers. He has been with McComas-Lacina Construction for 13 years. Kenny came to us with 22+ years in the construction industry. He grew up helping his dad lay brick and pour concrete. Kenny specializes in concrete flat work, copperhead operation and is a brick & block mason. “I enjoy looking back at the end of the day to see just how much we have accomplished. Gary Campbell is a Superintendent for various projects here at McComas-Lacina Construction. He has been working in the construction industry for 27 years. Gary has been with us 19 of those years. Over the course of his career he’s been lucky enough to have good teachers in the construction trades. Gary specializes in the carpentry trade. Some trades he has worked in over the years are…framing &doors, door hardware, operator of multiple types of equipment and concrete work including forming & finishing. “In High School we had a building trades program. This is what started my interest into the trades of the construction industry. Bill Maher is our Crane Manger. He has worked in the construction industry for 30+ years and 28 of those years he has been with McComas-Lacina Construction. Bill specializes in training operators, repair & maintenance on our cranes, setting up logistics and safety class training just to name a few. He is our jack of all trades. Kevin White is the Superintendent for UFG Insurance Restoration project in Downtown Cedar Rapids. He has worked for McComas-Lacina Construction for the past 37+ years. Kevin has 46+ experience in the construction industry. He specializes in heavy construction.

Phil Keppler is the Associate Project Manager for Dubuque St Phase 2 project. He has worked for McComas-Lacina Construction for the past 5 years. Phil started working here basically right after he was done with college. Justin Wainwright is the Superintendent for the Lone Tree Wellness Center project. He has worked for McComas-Lacina Construction for the past 12 years. Ben Goodale is currently working at The Chauncey project in downtown Iowa City. He has worked for McComas-Lacina Construction for 13 years. He has been working in the construction industry for 19 years. He specializes in concrete flat work, concrete walls, carpentry and he can operate the total station. “The main reason I work in the construction industry is because I’ve always liked working with my hands & being outdoors. I also like that every job is different, so I’m not doing the same thing every day.”

Elias Schroeder is currently working in Downtown Cedar Rapids at the UFG Insurance projects. He has been with McComas-Lacina Construction for 1 year. Elias has been working in the construction industry for 6 years. He came to us with a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Iowa State. Elias specializes in building layout, scheduling and subcontractor coordination.
Gerardo Rangel is currently working at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics on the Pathology Lab Expansion project. He has been with McComas-Lacina Construction for the past 11 years. Gerardo Rangel specializes in concrete carpentry. You will most likely find him working in the early stages of our projects, from building to repairing the framework & structures on our jobsites.
Roger Schrock is currently working at Southeast Junior High School project. He has worked in the construction industry for over 35 years. Roger has been with McComas-Lacina Construction for 27 of those years. He started out as a mason. Roger has learned so many different trades during his time here. He mainly works as a carpenter on our jobs , with possibility of doing small masonry jobs. “I got into the trades because of my father . He was a mason and I went to the job sites with him from the time I was just a young child.”
